About

ABULE SOWO Architects is an architecture studio based in Cotonou. We design projects across Africa.

In Yoruba, Abule Sowo means “creating wealth from the Earth” — a vision that guides every project: building in harmony with the land, culture, and people.

We believe architecture improves the quality of our lives. That's why we work with noble materials — earth, stone, wood, bamboo — to create healthy and sustainable spaces.

Testimonials

Working with Mr Chadrac A. on projects for my clients, as well as on a personal project, made me realise that a beautiful house goes far beyond the images we see on Pinterest.

A beautiful house is above all a space designed around your way of life: the family’s composition, daily habits, natural light at sunrise, the flow between spaces, and that ability to reveal beauty in simple things.

It was a wonderful experience that showed me how much every detail matters. It all comes down to standards, balance and optimisation: doing just what is needed, and keeping costs under control.

Well done for this work, which transforms far more than spaces: you help create living places designed with meaning and harmony.

— Mr Alamou
